in this format, just an example, tim and i will give alex and dan, who won spring valley dubs, 21 extra throws. perrigo and Mcoin 21 extra throws, and bart and cory 42 extra throws. handicap or crippling? i'm assuming this is eric and neals baby, you two are smart guys, THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER FORMAT! for the most part i believe day before a tourney dubs is used as a way for out of town players to get a chance to look at a course and play with some locals under competitive circumstances, and maybe make a little change doin it. and also for some locals to see how they stack up against different players. this dubs tourny may be unsanctioned, but it is in direct association with a major event, don't make this a carnival sideshow.

What is the putting format?
I hope that the putting contest doesn't have mulligans or gimmick ideas...

My biggest issue is the fact I feel many who are already signed up, like Griff, are clueless as to what they are getting into and will be smacked upside the head 5min before teeing off. Easy way to piss people off before the event even starts!

boo hahahahahahahahhahahahhahaha - 21 extra throws - hahahahahahahhahahahahhhahahahahahahhahahahhahaahh a

Hey, wait a minute... those guy's are getting 42 extra throws - waaaaaaaaaa, boo hoo.

If you don't want to play this format - don't sign up.
If you don't like the course, directors, other players, date, weather, the sport, God, the Beatles, Texas, or anything else... then DON'T sign up!

Simple.

Doubles format has been posted on the official TSUSM PDGA thread since Jan 13, 2011. The Event Coordinator has always planned to, and will contact each team prior to the event to ensure they are aware of the format.

On a completely different topic...

For anyone not playing in Friday night's Night Golf rounds:

I'm planning on holding a $60 buy-in Hold'Em tourney on Friday night at 8pm. We're going to be staying at a lakehouse East of ShawShank. Shoot me an e-mail or PM and let me know if you're interested.

We will probably start a ring game on the side for anyone that busts out early and still needs a poker fix. (Like me!)
