Disc Nation is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Beyond the Lights Celebrity Disc Golf Classic! Were you one of the lucky attendees at last year's inaugural event? If you were, then you know that this event was not only one of the most unique disc golf events ever, but also crazy fun!

Join Disc Nation on Saturday May 14th for the next chapter in this legendary event. Once again, the Beyond the Lights Disc Golf Classic will feature members of NBC television's critically acclaimed show "Friday Night Lights" and their celebrity friends, all coming out for a great day of disc golf benefiting some great charities.

This unique event, part of the Beyond the Lights Weekend at the beautiful Lost Pines Hyatt in Bastrop, TX, is a fund-raiser for the Beyond the Lights charity which benefits the Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation and The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. This weekend, which features other great events, culminates with the most fun event of them all - The Disc Golf Classic!!

Players participating in the Disc Golf Classic will receive entry into the Disc Golf Classic (18 Holes of Disc Golf on the Exclusive Hyatt Lost Pines Course), a player's pack (includes a limited edition shirt, golf disc and other great prizes), Free BBQ Lunch, and entry into the Windy Hill Putting Challenge. This event will also include a free beginner's clinic, entertainment after the disc golf classic by the Shady Rest Band, and the option to bid on unique items in our silent auction. This is going to be one fun-packed day!

Registration is $50 for a fun-filled day that features 18 scenic holes of disc golf on the Colorado River at the Lost Pines Hyatt, beginner instruction, the Windy Hill Putting Challenge, and the rare chance to play disc golf with celebrities from NBC television's critically acclaimed Friday Night Lights. This event will again be hosted by Kyle Chandler and Brad Leland, stars of Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights' Madison Burge Lets it Fly!!

As with last year's event, the focus of this event is FUN! The folks at Beyond the Lights are enthusiastic about sharing the joy of disc golf with new players, so we've designed this event to appeal to beginners. This event is non-competitive, meaning that everyone will play in the same division and there is no event pay-out. In fact, this event is perfect for families or people who are new to disc golf. Of course, the celebrity factor makes this interesting for any disc golfer, as you just never know who will show up at a cool Austin-area event like this!
