Birdshot's Date Night Doubles Series

Birdshot kicks off our Date Night Doubles series with a mixed-doubles round of nine holes at Mozola DGC in the shadow of Downtown Houston on Buffalo Bayou and dinner at Jax's Grill immediately following. Bring your date, your significant other or just someone you know and come have fun playing a round of disc golf with other couples who enjoy our favorite sport.

The Birdshot Date Night Doubles series is going to run through the summer months with one Friday night game a month on courses close to the center of town. Date Night Doubles is open to any mixed doubles team, you do not have to be a "couple" so brothers and sisters, co-workers, friends and random strangers are encouraged to come along and play as long as the team is co-ed. After the round is finished we'll all head over to a nearby restaurant for dinner and drinks.

The first event will be only nine holes and we may look at expanding the format if there is interest in June to a full 18 holes.

The tentative schedule for 2011 is as follows:

• May 27th at 6pm at Mozola/Jax's Grill
• June 17th at TC Jester/The Petrol Station
• July 15th at MacGregor/District 7
• August 12th at Mason/Doneraki's

Stay tuned to this thread for updates.

Cost will be $5 per couple with payout going to the top three teams. Ace pot will be $1 per person and will cap at $100. If we get enough interest we may split up into divisions. Hope to see everyone out there!

Derek's going, "Yeah, I like that!"...LOL! I wonder if any more pros will show up with their significant others? My wife's not going to be able to make it, so I guess that means I won't be able to make it either...oh well...maybe next month!

Yes, all one division, at least for this first one. This is supposed to be a fun casual round though so don't beat us all too badly.
