On a separate topic, I used the app this past weekend to track scores for all the players on my card at the Waco tourney and it was really useful for seeing how close I was to the guy in front of me who I was trying to catch in the final round.
Good info ERic - thanks! I won't even start looking at it until I've got 3 rounds logged for Jester and Spring Valley. Now you've got me wondering what to expect. I'll report about it later.

Question: Do i need to enter other players on my card in advance, or can I select them from my contacts folder? (I've only entered myself so far.)

You'll still get all the scorecard "stats"... including a round rating, but the app wont assign you a personal player rating until you have three rounds logged.

You can select the players you want by manually entering their names, or selecting them from your contacts list. When you pick from your contacts list it caches their e-mail addys and IIRC you can e-mail the resulting scorecard to them after the round.

Here's a card from yesterday's SWHC Mini:

any idea who the developer is? I like some of the easy scorecard features, and they have done a nice job with it.

Here's a tease - there is a similar i-phone app coming out very soon. I've been beta testing it for the last 60 days. The i-phone app has taken a little different tack re features and will be a pay only version to start. Waiting on apple store approval before release.

How do you get it to show your round ratings? I have the pro version, but can't find where to go for that.

Round ratings are written in text at the bottom of the scorecard. You have to put in three rounds on the same course to get your first rating.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the three rounds to all be on the same course.

To get round ratings there are a few things you need:

First, in your player profile inside the app make sure you have the "Handicap System" set to "DG Rating", not "Discgolf.com". "Handicap Calculation" should be set to "Automatic".

Next, you need to have an SSA assigned to the course on which you're playing/logging the round. If you entered the course info manually into your app then you probably don't have the SSA. If you have the Pro version of the app you can download courses from the easyscorecard.net site. I've uploaded actual or approximate SSA values and laser accurate distances for what should be every course in and around Houston. Like I said, with the Pro version of the app you can download all that info. If you'd previously downloaded a course before I updated the distances and SSA you can use the "Refresh" option to get the latest data.

Lastly, you need three rounds logged to get a player rating, but you should start to see round ratings at the bottom of your scorecard as soon as you've satisfied the above two conditions. Your player rating will show up in the app's player list as well.

ERicJ, thanks for the tips. I was using "Discgolf.com" and did not have an SSA rating (or even have tees set up). Once I got that set up and went back to all my rounds to assign a tee, it gave me the rating.

Cool Re: Easy Scorecard for Android

Looks like the SSA at Spring Valley was pretty typical this past weekend. EasyScorecard got my first round rating exactly right per the (as-of-this-writing unofficial) PDGA results, round two was off by one point.

Can I go back and change the starting tee number for round that I played last weekend? (I brain-farted at the start of the second round and didn't set the starting hole to #6.) I scored 1-18 and thought that it might be something I'd have to completely re-enter all over again.

I was disappointed that Sunday was doubles week at the Commando Mini, so I decided not to use it for that round. I'm hoping that I only have to log one more round in here to start seeing ratings after the round.

Dunno how to fix that other than re-enter it, sorry.
