Will non-tourney groups be allowed to play the course on Saturday? My parent's are driving in to play the course with us and it would be a real shame if we can't get a round in.

We never attempt to even ask to close a park for a tournament...I don't think it would even be allowed. Now, it will probably be a little crowded...maybe a good time to hit the course would be during the lunch break (appr. 11:30 to 1:00?). Also, the afternoon round we will be skipping holes 2 through 9...it might be easier to navigate around all of us then.

The course has been reserved with the county for the purpose of hosting the tourney. That said; no one will stop you from playing; but it will be boring for your group to have to sit and wait at every T-box for the groups ahead to clear.

My advice is to come out just before lunch. You'll be able to visit the pro shop set-up and play while the tourney players are at lunch.

Afterwards... Disc Golf is a great spectator sport. Hope to see ya out.

I plan on playing here Wednesday around 10am-11am. How wet or dry is the course? Also, anyone want to meet up for a round? My nephew has a sprained foot and I don't think he will be able to play.

Phil, I would imagine after the rain we're having today & the next couple of days it's going to be fairly muddy at Brooks...if you have 4 out of the next 6 Sunday afternoons available you might want to to come out & play league with us. We're starting a new six weeks this Sunday (the 16th)...$20 for all six weeks & drop your two worst scores (or miss 2 Sundays, either one)...cash payout for the top half of each division! Think about it & come on out if you can!

I might just check into that. I am really pissed at the weather right now. I wanted to play today, but not in this rain. I also wanted to play Wednesday, because I was heading to Galveston anyway. Maybe I can play on Friday. I was hoping to play sometime this week. I am going to be playing on Sunday in San Antonio..

How is the first 18 looking? Wet? Dry? I am planning on coming down on Saturday to play since I couldn't last week.

I took my nephew from Florida to play Jack Brooks for his first time out there yesterday. We had a great time and the course looks great. Met a local guy from Galveston, and he played a round with us and we had a great time. We got a look at the next 18 and it looks great. I can't wait till this course is finished. It will be great to make the long drive down there and play two courses. Hats off to all they guys and gals who have been working so hard down there to make these two great courses.
