The basket move is now scheduled for next Wednesday 8/31 by parks and rec. We could of course be bumped, if anything changes I will post it here.

Parks and Rec is still on track to move the 9 existing baskets into place tomorrow.

They were able to move a couple of baskets today, then one of tractors broke down and needs to be repaired before they can continue, hopefully in the next few days or early next week. So basically, theres half old layout and half new, im going out there tonight to see which ones they moved.

I drove by today at lunch.
The only basket that I could see that they moved was the old 9 basket. They have the new 2 in place and the new 11 in place, so another basket was moved. From what I could tell none of the baskets across the bayou were put in place. I still saw the old 3 in place as well. Sorry, couldn't get anything more specific than that from the car. |

Current status - they were able to move 3 out of 5 baskets before the machinery broke down. Because of this, 2 of the holes have 2 baskets in their fairways for now (new hole 2 and new hole 10).
To play nine, you could throw from the flags (which mark where the new tee markers will go) and throw from the existing tee post on just those two holes and it should work fine. They will try to repair the auger before tomorrow, but most likely we are looking at next week to finish up and also put the baskets on the other side of the bayou. |

I will try to be at the course by about 5 so that we can lay out 18 tee positions for league tonight. We played last night. It really is going to require creativity and flexibility. If you are going to get your unmetionables all wadded up this is your golden opportunity. I hope someone else can show up around 5. If not, then you are stuck with my BS setup.

Thanks Dennis. Equipment breaks, schedules get messed up, things happen and we just have to stay positive and remember the end result is more disc golf and a better course. At Mozola we were without 2 baskets for months and we had to deal with it, everything turned out fine. This situation is not nearly that bad, so we can be thankful progress is being made by HPARD and they are doing the best they can. |

Dennis,
If you have an opportunity to do so, will you please count how many baskets are in the ground and report it to us? I have flags that I will bring out there with me tonight to establish tee locations. I get home around 5:00 pm and have to change clothes and print out results and take care of the pets so I can't get there until 5:30-ish, but if you want to meet me at my house at 5, I can give you the flags so you can start laying them out for us. Larry
