Commando Mini - Central at TC Jester

I'm happy to announce that there will be a new mini-tournament running on the newly redesigned TC Jester course at 9:00 am on Sundays!!!

It will feature one round of golf on the full, 21-hole layout.

Cost will be: $10

Entry fees will include: Ace Pot and Mulligan

Cash payout immediately following the completion of the round.

Proceeds from this mini will be provided to HFDS for its course improvement fund which has provided the baskets for this expansion, and will be funding concrete tee boxes at the Agnes Moffitt course.

We'll be starting it up this morning. I am not as prepared as I would have liked to be, but we'll start it up this morning. The weather is TOO PERFECT out to skip it! Ha-ha!

Please forgive the plain-paper scorecards. I got new ones ready to print, but haven't taken them to Kinkos yet. Distances are printed on the cards however.

I hope to see everyone out there. Don't worry about being punctual this morning...I know of a few that are going to be showing up late - around 9:15 or so. I'll wait if you let me know you're coming!

It was extremely breezy out there, and scores reflect it.

57 was my previous round, it should show 2 rounds, seems to be mixed up, ill fix that later

It was a 65 - I just reviewed the cards again to make sure. It was very windy out there last Sunday. I think that Derek had posted at least two rounds previously with both scores being under par. For him to shoot a plus 2 out there last Sunday was a pretty good indicator of how windy it was! I know that my score was way up...I wasn't very good about choosing the right disc for the angle to the wind.

We are seeing a little sprinkle of rain over here this morning, but in looking at the radar, it will be long - gone by the time 9:00 am rolls around. It should be a fine morning for some disc golf.

This weekend's Commando Mini is cancelled due to the TD going to Austin for the Waterloo tournament this weekend. Look for it to resume the following weekend ( 10/23 ).

Yep.

We'll be playing all 21-holes. I'll start taking the sign-ups at 9 am and we'll pass out cards shortly after that.

I've heard from several folks that they are planning on playing this Sunday morning so we may see a pretty large crowd of folks out there this week. I hope you can make Darnell.
