Parking lot construction

Precinct 3 is busy building the parking lot for Texas Army Trail DGC.

The piles of dirt on the west side of the detention pond will be moved to low spots on holes 6, 7, and 8. The county thinks they will be finished with the gravel this week. They will have the parking lot asphalted next week, and then stripped the following week. The county has not set a schedule for tee pads or the new entrance ramp and turning lane.

There is no access to the parking lot as Precinct 3 is building a new access ramp. Please continue to park across the street.

Precinct 3 has not set a date when the park will open. This week they started work on the turning lane and access ramp. A worker told Chuck that that work will take about 3-4 weeks. After the turning lane and access ramp are complete, we'll see what the county is planning next.

The ramp may be open as early as 12/22/2011, but the curbs will not be done. All the work should be completed by 1/1/2012, and then the parking lot will be open.

The practice basket is installed where the Tee box #1 used to be. The Tee box was moved about 40 feet west.

The parking lot at Texas Army Trail is open. I'm not sure the construction work is completed; however, they have left the new ramp unblocked.

There are 48 parking spots. Plenty for everyone.
