OK Guys.... I broke out the checkbook and ordered 20 player's packs for the 2008 Discraft Ace Race. I plan on holding the event at Community Park in MO City on October 25th (anyone want to do a Halloween theme?) The event will run from 9:00 to about 2:00 and will be two rounds of 18 holes. From what I've heard the disc is a lot like a Spider or Wasp Jr. so I'll be setting most of the holes up on the shorter end of the Ace Race length spectrum like mostly 100 to 150 ft long. I would like to get confirmation from as many people as possible about attendance so I don't over sell the event. There will be an additional $5 per person (100% payout) optional sidepot that will be distributed evenly based on number of metal hits and aces. This should be a really fun time, hope to see you there.

Currently:
20 Player packages minus 2 for Tracy and myself, so that only leaves 18 to go at this point. I'll keep this thread updated. Please send me an e-mail at petre@petris.com if you will be attending the event.

I have 18 spots, so I'm holding this on the 25th and hoping there are at least 18 people that want $55 worth of merch and a chance to win another $200 worth for a mere $25. Sorry for those that are going to Eberly, but I know you'll have a great time there. Tracy and I are going to Corpus the week before so we just didn't want to travel one more week. Well, Eberly is confirmed so I'm sorry that I'll have to miss the Ace Race...too bad (it was fun last year). I don't think you'll have a problem getting 18 people in though...not everyone will want to drive to Chappel Hill. See you guys Saturday ar Brooks!

Yeah, I knew a lot of people would go to Eberly (and I don't blame them as I had a BLAST! last year) but since I could only afford to pre-order 20 packages I figured the 25th would be a safe day to have this. We have two more confirmed at the Ace Race now (Patrick and Tiffany Brogden, Patrick says throwing 150ft is cake even with his bum foot/leg.) That leaves 16 spots to be filled. Remember to email me at petre@petris.com if you are going to be there. I'll reserve a package for you. I'm trying to give first dibs to HFDS'ers, but I'll be putting a flyer out at the park soon and see if the locals want in on the fun.

If you end up with any leftover packages I might want to take one off your hands....what's the new prototype this year, any idea? I love the one from last year (that's the disc I got the double CTP with at Moffitt Show)....I hope you fill, though.

Ace Race still Oct. 25th (although if for some reason I don't use all 20 packages I will be back out on the 26th to let people get the remainder; looking less likely at this point.) Got the discs and other goodies in the mail on Monday. The minis have a cool looking playing card pic with Eric McCabe on them, I am going to request him to sign the minis as an added bonus to those that come out.
