Default Texas Army Trail is permanently open

Texas Army Trail is now permanently open. We are starting minis back with Sunday doubles at 2pm. Pro -- bring your own partner, Ams - random flip doubles. $10 entry fee, $1 to ace pot (now at $103), and $1 to course improvements, and $8 back to payout.

The county has said they will be installing concrete tee pads, but have not set a date yet.

Who decides where the pins will be? I kind of like the old spots better. Any possibility of having getting additional baskets so both pins would be available?

Chuck Haney decides where the baskets will be. There are 6 holes that have multiple basket locations. Chuck moves them around to keep the course "fresh" and to meet any tournament or other need that arises.

We could install 2 baskets on each of the 6 multiple location holes. All we need is money.

Right now we are working on a nature trail so that the other residence can use the park and not get hit with a disc.

We are also waiting on the county to install concrete tee pads. After the tee pads are complete, perhaps we'll have fund raising to complete the purchase of additional baskets.

Well whatever you decide it's a great addition to an area of town that just a few years ago had nothing. Thanks for all your work!!

I only have #1-4 and #16 with multiple pins showing on DGCR. What's the sixth hole?

Hole #17 has multiple pins. I don't have the map at

http://texasarmytrail.com/default.as...Group/Menu.htm

updated to show the alternate pins on #16 and #17. I just got the geo codes last weekend. I'll see if I can get it updated later today.

Can someone update the Hole Info part of DGCR? I played the shorter pins and so the numbers aren't right.

You can do it yourself if you know which pins are active:
Go to the HoleInfo tab, click on the "Update Hole Info" bottom tab, click the radio button for each pin that is active, then Submit the changes.
