OK.

We are officially postponing this Day-of-Mini until the 18th due to weather.

It's going to rain.

What is the start time, and is this a walk up and register, tournament?

Sign-up starts at 1:30 and we will tee off at 2pm. Once again, the cost is $15 each with $5 going to the League City basket fund and $10 going to payout. Onsite registration only.

Remember, if you're bringing a basket to get there about 1:00! Also remember that we're using a completely different part of the golf course this time....you want to park on the south side of Bay Area Blvd. & Thor....just after passing Ashley's Donuts if you're coming from I-45....about a quarter mile before Space Center Blvd....there's an office building parking lot with plenty of room! We'll be taking registration there & then walk across the street to play....anybody have a crossing guard vest?

It's not looking very good for Sunday again as far as the rain is concerned...we'll post up something for sure by tomorrow night. Not that we mind playing in the rain....but setting up the course in the rain is no fun at all (or taking it down)....also the vegetation is really high at this location & it would be hard to tell whether there's mud underfoot or not (plus trying to find your disc!)...must be the only place in Houston where the grass/weeds are high! Again....check here and/or Bay Area Disc Golfers FB page by tomorrow night to see if we cancel or not!

I went out to the spot we'd picked for the course and the grass is even longer now. If you don't keep and eye on the exact spot your disc landed you'll be searching for a good while inside piles of thistle like plants. Yuck.

Based on it not looking like the CLWA will mow today or tomorrow I'm thinking we should play TLV this month and bring back a day-of course in January. We'll play the regular 15 and then 6 monster holes:

• Tee 4 to basket 5
• Tee 7 to basket 8
• Tee 9 to basket 10
• The long tee on 11
• Tee 13 to basket 15
• Tee 16 to basket 12

Entry will still be $15 with $5 going to the basket fund for League City. $1 ace pot, and I think we're at about $70-75 for the ace pot right now.

Alright, boys & girls....Day-Of Mini is ON for this Sunday, January 15th! They mowed the area where we were going to hold this last month so we should be in good shape. Remember, this is a part of the Clear Lake Golf Course that we haven't been to yet....from I-45 South take Bay Area east like normal....pass through lights at El Camino & Saturn & Reseda....watch for a strip center on your right before you get to Space Center Blvd...you'll see an Ashley's Donuts & then a street called Thor (really!)...take a right on Thor & a left into the office parking lot...that's where we'll meet! If you're bringing a basket (and let us know if you are) meet there at 1:00....the rest of you can be there to sign up at 1:30 & we'll tee off at 2:00. I know it's another playoff game, so we'll see who the die-hard BADGERS are!
