If you can help us set up baskets on Saturday please be at 1776 Park at 7am. We'd really appreciate the help and with extra hands we can get the course set up in time for some pre-tourney practice.

We had around 60 people show up to play...they voted to stay & set up a new course since 10 of the holes were under water...you Houston players are an amazing bunch! Whether this course becomes permanent or not, we WILL be back out there to play the original layout...even if it's just for a Sunday afternoon fundraiser mini for baskets for the League City course that's still in the works. Thanks to the Birdshooters for making Saturday work & not be a total bust...you guys rock!

I wasn't there, but this is how payout should have gone down:

If 4th place hadn't split last cash then all four players in cash would have come out ahead.

If there were only four Pros at $50 each it would have paid top two $106/$64 and you wouldn't have gotten anything for 3rd.

Y'all should thank Travis, Stephen and Lance for donating added cash to MPO.

from the looks of it there would have been 7/8 open players, my post about rather having 4 players was a little hasty on my part. i apologize for talking out of my neck

1. ERic isn't part of Birdshot. His figures are estimated and don't include expenses (including additional insurance required by Friendswood).

2. Payout amounts are calculated from the PDGA provided TD spreadsheet. We just pay what the spreadsheet tells us to.

3. Sam received $90.

MPO first place at $90 for 11 players paying 40% deep, i.e.top 4, reverse engineers to a payout pool of $219.51.

Entry fees were already deducted $2 for PDGA, $2 for Birdshot Series, $2 for "facilities fee", and 15% Birdshot fee.

You're saying on top of that you took out another $4/player (difference between $263.50 and $219.51 for 11 MPO players)?
For 60 total players that's another $240... how much insurance did Friendswood require?

I wouldn't expect a TD to cover all the expenses out of pocket. But I also wouldn't expect to see (MPO) payout of 71% based on what was advertised:

If you've got additional expenses you're going to deduct from the gross to net entry fees it would help set player expectations to make that clear up front.
