My math shows a 30% "tax", not 15%. And that's skimming the fees.

So really, the total amount paid in (including fees) was what $398?

And how do the claims of "we only take 10% up to $100" match with the claimed payout of 85% (and actual payout of 70%)?

Just so you all know that we (Birdshot people) get 10% UP TO $100 for a C-tier...The other percentage goes into maintenance funds.
Who manages the maintenance funds?

Minimum of $376 paid in, plus $2/player if they used paypal.

The old PDGA Tour Standards document said organizers could take a "management fee" of up to 10% (max $100 for C-Tier). But payout minimum was documented at 85% minimum. The PDGA was fuzzy on the details of where the other 5% went. In one response from the PDGA Office I was told it could go to items like sanctioning fees.

For 2012, the Tour Standards document dropped the management fee item altogether and now just lists 85+% minimum payout. That opens the door for the organizers to take all 15% if they so choose. Unfortunately, the document still doesn't specify 85% of what is supposed to be paid out. Again I've been told by the office that's supposed to be net entry fee, but not a complete list of what are legitimately deductible expenses from gross to net.

Looking at the 2012 tour standards, in the table that has recommended entry fees, it says:

"Table shows net entry fees. PDGA player fees based on event tier, plus any local club or regional series player fees should be added to these figures in order to determine overall entry fees. "

That shows that the deductions for PDGA and Series fees are legit. I don't have a problem with further deducting for online registration or facilities since those were clearly labeled on the entry flyer.

So the minimum payout should have been 85% of $310 or $263.50 as ERic showed earlier.

That table is recommended maximum net entry fees.
