So does this look right? When it's not all spelled out, it's understandable why some people complain. If you look at the Gross paid in vs. the payout (with the mistake that was found), there was a big difference. Once you look at where all the money goes, it makes sense.

PDGA fees and facilities fees were each more than the Management fee. How many TDs shared that management fee? Did it even cover their entry fees? Another $89 for supplies is reasonable too.

Chris, sorry you felt accused of skimming. I didn't mean that you were personally skimming money off the top. I meant that the fees were skimmed off the gross before the 85% was calculated. The PDGA allows that and it was clear on the entry form, so I have no problem with that. As a TD, those fees add up. As a player, most only think what came out of their pocket, and what went into the payout.

They should bring back Pro 2 from the looks of things. Be a lot easier to profit $50 by betting two friends $25 each. Another benefit of this option is the lack of backups and ability to throw a few extra shots for fun. 5 discs can be sold for $50 fairly easily and when one profits this way those who's money he takes will be much better off for this transaction.

When you break it all down $50 profit is a stretch with $25 being the average food and gas cost for a birdshot attendee. ( would much rather play these types of events for $20 with $12 to payou, $3 to admin, and $5 to the couse. That is what birdshot originally set out to do and now it resembles a bueacratic institution. Low payouts are bad enough and when coupled with high entries and fees it is just not attractive. If tne average player paid $25 with much more could be accomplished to help raise funds for indivisdaul courses. This is especially true when you look at the target market for these events. Nobody rated high wants to pay $60 for these types of events unless there is moderate incetive. This is assumed to be payout in tne minds of most but a good course will also act as an incentive for these players,

Maybe I am saying go AM only but I am not sure. I have suggested clinics during the break times to incentivise both groups of players to attend but since nothing like this seems to be in the works why try the same thing? Sliding scale is decent but something more like a 950 and up division should probably be looked at by Birdshot and the Pdga. A system based on rating opposed to age should be used at these smaller events so that there are 4 divisions instead of 15

Anyway nice to see you guys are still around. Also I would advise billy or anyone else to attend the red rock show on the 10-11.
