I have to send in the TD report in 2 weeks. On that TD report will be the course name. Last year it was called Jim Mozola Memorial + Tinsley Park. Derek Lang says that this course expansion has been approved to be permanent. We need to start thinking what the course name is going to be. I can go with the same name as last year since we only have 2 weeks to work with. There will probably be a tournament there next year. I guess we can hold off on a permanent name until the baskets go in permanently? Something to think about.

The course name should be "Heart of Houston DGC"

This weekend was my first time to play at Mazola, and I feel like I have been missing out! Some of the holes out there for the HOHO layout were really incredible gems. My top 5 favorites were 1,8,15,19,21. I'd like to extend a big thank you to those who worked on putting that together because it was a lot of fun to play!

Thanks, Cody! Derek and everyone involved with the layout did a great job again this year...despite the work being done out there right now! We had bigger group than last year & we're already talking about next year if we go back that we should probably make it later in the year during daylight savings time. If we hadn't skipped Hole 2 in the morning & then 1 & 2 in the afternoon, we never would have finished playing before dark! Also, once they finish the new paths out there the bike & foot traffic will most likely increase as well...which was one of the only real hold-ups we had to deal with Saturday. I love the course & love the backdrop of downtown Houston & the bayou...but it's one of my least favorite places to play simply because I'm impatient waiting for the walkers/runners/bicyclists to get the hell out of the way! It was a great turnout though & a great day of disc golf...and a very worthy first tourney of the year for Birdshot! Congrats to Dixon Jowers for hitting the ace on Hole 5....very first hole for his card & his very first tourney throw of the year! Then Griff pulled out a BIG ace on Hole 21 in the afternoon...so they both split the $500 ace pot...sweet!

Anyone know if the number of holes will be fixed in the PDGA results for this one?

Thanks! Results become official soon, so it may be easier to fix before then

TD report had correct number of holes listed. I will send PDGA Tour Manager a message about it. Thanks Derek.
