Long in the morning and short in the afternoon for the basket positions sounds solid.
That should help out with the fatique factor and like previously stated the course will have a min and max SSA.

Playing the shorts (easier) first could give you a faster round and thus get everyone to lunch at a more predictable time. That could avoid the situation where some players have too long of a break between rounds while others are rushed.

Just something else to consider.

That just causes that to happen in the afternoon for payout. Putting the longs in the morning gets the majority of golf over before the afternoon sun. I'd much rather play the longer round before the horrible temperature swing.

Exactly.
When more than half the players (who didn't cash) can leave if they want to.

It's no fun to finish the first round quickly and then have to wait two hours before the second round starts.

It's June. In Houston. It's gonna be hot no matter what.

But I guess if it's a priority to minimize the whining of players saying "it's too hot" then go for longs first.

I only have a preference because of the fatigue-factor that Jim mentioned. In truth though, I don't know that it would make that much difference one way or the other.

I'm just looking forward to playing some competitive action on that course. I've played it twice with casual rounds and am looking forward to being able to play it right-handed to see if I can improve my score.

I'm thrilled to see Ed G.'s name on the list now too! Go GM's - go!!!

Per Patrick's Facebook post: "There are no day of signups for TAT. We can't take money at the park. Please pre register."
