Cory's Bicycle Shop / Gorilla Disc Golf presents "BELTWAY SUMMER CLASSIC" pdga c-tier , SAT AUG 18TH at Agnes Moffitt park . this will be a fun event for players of all skill levels. we will have multiple ring of fires, ctp's etc . more info and flyer coming sooooon......................

For us beginners, can you explain what a Ring of Fire is? I know CTP is closest to the pin. Are both rounds from the same tee? What do the prizes look like for beginners? If I'm not PDGA, but playing Rec it's $35 if I want in on the Ace Pot right?

The Ring of Fire is an elimination game where players circle a basket an equal distance out. Depending on the skill levels this can be 10, 15, 25 feet or whatever distance desired.

On a count of "Ready, Aim, Fire!" everyone throws at the basket. All the players who make the putt go to the next round... until only one person is left.


On any round, if all players miss the basket then everyone is back in the game again.

thanks ERic for the ring of fire example. Round one will be from the long tees , round two from the short. Prizes; players that finish in the top 50% of their divisions will select merchandise (onsite) from Cory's mobile pro shop which consist of disc's from many manufacturers , DG bags , shirts, stools, etc. Players may also choose to take a voucher redeemable at Cory's shop for anything in the store, bikes , gear, etc . we will have ctp's and other games . Prizes for those will be disc or shirts selected by Cory to give away. there will be a raffle for a DG bag complete with 2 drivers, a mid and a putter ,all quality(star , champ,blizzard,z) plastic. To play rec ($20), including ace pot ($5), non pdga fee ($10), and mandatory pdga tourny fee($2) it will be $37 total. there is also a $3 online processing fee , which can be avoided via snail mail. i will post address soon. any other questions, plz ask
