The plan is to play the longs early and shorts in the afternoon. The longs are not all installed which means that 9 of them will be a modified version since the ground is dug up where the concrete will go. The city cancelled both of our pours for fear of equipment tearing up the soggy ground we had over the last few weeks. It sucks but we coudlnt do anything about that. If we even get a sprinkle then the first round will be played from the available concrete longs and the shorts of the other holes and then all shorts in the afternoon.

Birdshot gets another donation from me cause I'm going to miss another tournament. Please use my entry fee for wine, women, and song.

I swear, I really do exist.

Another one in the record book. The Thomas Bertrand Memorial VI was full to capacity with our Beaumont area friends and quite a few H-town players turning out strong. Thanks again to Golden Triangle Disc Golf for their great support and hard work to make this annual event so successful. The annual bag tags are always a great get, along with CFR discs and a CTP contest to win an Innova Sport basket. The 3 Cajun Pigs catering lunch was also well received by the players and the food was first class! The payout for both Pros and Ams each had $200 respectfully added from sponsorship including $100 from Birdshot-DGProShop. Thanks again to all the players and GTDG for supporting!!

Were the entry fees the same as they are for Montgomery Country Madness?
Are the payouts listed on the PDGA site correct?

How was the $200 intended to be distributed amongst the divisions? Equally by player, or proportional to the fees paid in?

Assuming the PDGA site is correct, and the division entry fees are the same (ignoring all fees), there seems to be some discrepancies.

Was there a players pack and/or trophies? That might not show up on the PDGA website and could easily account for some of the discrepancies.

On a similar note, why didn't Griff and Travis split the $100? Or did they this and it wasn't shown in the results?

Also, it looks like the Pro cash was divided per player. I am fine with this assuming they all pay the same fees but that is not the case. IMO if MPO pays $50 into the purse and MPM pays $40 the MPMs should receive 80 cents on the MPO dollar (ala every $5 to MPO is $4 to MPM)

Well even if the intention was to split per player disregarding fees, it wasn't done quite right. It's off by a few bucks in pros (GMs were overpaid), but it's way off in the ams.

All divisions should have the same payout percentages is what I am getting at...not "x amount" per player.

And yes you are right....I have just seen this happen before where the divisions with the lesser entries were paid a better % than the others.
