you can play jack brooks after a rain, the tee boxes there hold up well if I can remember. Isn't there shell down and trenches that guide the water away from the tee boxes? Dont you have boots, old shoes, webo's? I thought all discgolfers played in the rain, sleet, snow and hail.

Hail yes!

Jack Brooks is a great course when it's damp. I suggest some waterproof shoes and a hand towel to dry your discs, but you you can play the course.

The only thing you have to worry about at Jack Brooks is the occasional swarm of bees, which we've encountered twice. They're fun.

They're right, of course...who's afraid of a little rain?!!! I've played in the rain a few times (tourneys too!)....I always carry a pair of aquashoes! It can get a little muddy in the woods, though....but a little slippin' & slidin' never hurt anybody either! And like Chuck said, none of the boxes are really marked on the new course...not all of the holes are in either.

I decided to go another day. Plus my nephew has a sprained ankle and I don't want him to slip and fall again. Maybe in a few weeks.

Just a reminder (since I see Jake on the site right now) for those of you not heading to Shawshank or someplace else Saturday, there is going to be a work day Saturday on the second course....show up probably between 9 & 10 and you ought to find someone over there.

Anyone want to play Brooks on Friday? I might just be able to make it down there. Let me know.

Consarnit, Jake! We have a mini at Terramont on the 6th! You keep picking days where we have a prior commitment (LOL)!!! Man, you have to know Chuck & I would be there if we could...I think that mini's going to attract mostly north side players, so we shouldn't be pulling people from your workforce (it's only a mini, after all). After it's over that morning, maybe Chuck & I can head back down to Brooks if ya'll are still working in the afternoon.

That "you" was meant for everyone that reads the message; not just you and Chuck. We know who has worked and who has played. Brian has taken the lead on completing the course given my new work schedule. He will get burned out if he doesn't get any help...

Billy, you don't have to work, but do talk it up when you are around others at the course. We are getting so close but we face the hardest work ahead. And I'm getting tired of asking for help.
