each of the alternate boxes were marked with the little red flags on both sides of where the bricks are, so they would be more visible, so Phil may not have been aware that there were bricks at each spot as well.

I see what your saying about that property holding another 18 in the woods.

But I agree with you, lets build 9 more now between the current #5 and #6 holes, with the vision of building those nine to be expanded to 18 of there own

I take it, you didn't get out the window?

Personally, I think 4A has the potential to be a signature hole on the course, when summer comes again and the foliage starts coming back really thick it could be manicured to be a gradual rising tunnel from the T-box to "the window", which could make it extremely difficult if you hit anything short of the opening

Ill keep it trimmed, although i dont think it will need it. I birdied it several times before Scott came and trimmed it up. You should have seen it when i first made it, there were vines hanging everywhere, and the gap was much smaller. The biggest problem is the uneven tee area, which i do need to fix. With an even teebox that hole should be 85% birdie, although it will get somewhat harder and easier throughout the year

Assuming you can make it up the hill in the first place. It's one of the "longest" 260' holes I've ever played. How come you didn't play the tournament leafylinks? You could have seen everyone enjoying your hard work.

No, I made it out, but missed the ~25' uphill birdie putt. Actually I missed all but one of my birdie putts. That's my game right now: missing putts.

You just described my last 6 holes. Too bad mine were all inside of 10 feet.
