Have an Ace Race at Cedar Brook? Nah, I guess the baskets are too short. What is the footage range for Ace Races? There's probably not anything official. I'm DP Discer, and I do not approve this message.

Per the Discraft Ace Race website:
Course layout: Holes are generally between 180 and 250 feet (55 to 75 meters). |

Yes, we were having "ace run minis" at least as far back as '98 at Cedar Brook. At least a couple a year. You'd be surprised how much fun that is on a nice day. Two shots off each tee x three rounds = 54 shots at an ace. Usually, we we're raising money for something, so it my might be a $15 entry with $12 going in the pot and $3 to the funds. All aces split (i.e. $120 in pot - I hit two aces, you hit one - I get $80, you get $40). There were always at least three aces hit. We usually had 20-30 people come out.
51 club should apply. Everyone know what the 51 club is? 51 clubbers get $5 for an ace and $1 for metal (basket and above) from everyone on the card who's a 51 clubber. It's an honor system thing, so you hope people fess up. Most are pretty honorable. And you know disc golf is a karma sport. The 51 club is not just ace runs. It's for all rounds. I've only hit 8 aces. Tony Hernandez was on my card for 3 of them. hahaha! Matchu, when's the last time anyone did one besides the Discraft ace race? It might me time. Maybe we could have have one for Jimbo. It might not raise much, but every little bit helps. Right? Heck, I'll do it. I'll start looking for a good date. The Colonel

Is anyone who wants to be in the Club "in" just by saying so? Do you have to hit an ace before you "qualify" to be in the club and get paid? Can you get paid $1 for hitting metal before you've ever hit an ace? Is it always "basket and above"? Once you're "in" are you always "in" or do people pick & choose based on who they're playing with? ERic |

You just become a member on your honesty. If you are playing with someone and they hit basket or an ace, ask if they are 51. If they don't know what you're talking about, they are not in the 51 club. If they take your cash, you are now a member of the 51 club. Pay before you take cash. But always ask before a round if any of the goons on your card are in 51. Old school club, it always helps to ask before you start a round.
But you don't get payed if your not in, and many players will bail on ya even if they where in. Ace at J.B. with ten players on the card in doubles, two payed. ![]() All the old school players are in the 51 club. Except Gimp, he bailed out.I payed Chancey over twenty times, it can get ugly if you play with really good players on a regular basis.

yep. can be tough on your wallet playing with people whose ace totals are in the double digits... but it's fun watching them go in! I'll gladly pay for good shots.
Lou is right, know who you're playing with. I feel sorry for anybody who aces at moffitt on a big card
