Scott: My hand is raised! I never called either of my parents a bad name to my friends when I was growing up or even as an adult. And my father wasn't always the nicest guy to be around, may he rest in peace. But even if I had and even if Chase does around his friends, it's one thing to be disrespectful in a private conversation; it's a whole 'nother thing on a message board that anyone can read, young or old. It's just too public.

Someone said to me "Chase is a young kid and just needed a place to vent". I think we all knew that when we read his comment and remember those days very well. What tookplace later here didn't involve a kid and was out of line I think most agree on that as well.

Sry, I'm really having trouble taking this thread seriously.
I actually love my Dad Sometimes this overwhelming amount of teenage agnst just gets the best of me.

I was only being half serious.

If anybody cares, I wasn't allowed to play the tourney b/c I was gone too much with music and band practices and my Dad used that as an excuse to not drive me up to Moffit.

Chase: It's "Hopper"; apology is accepted. I understand the teenage angst; C.J.'s older brother is 17 years old.

It actually sounds like your father cares about you and wants what's best for you, even though you might not think it's best for you. Sounds like you need to give him the benefit of the doubt. Parenting is a very hard job!
