I would go with Best holes....not favorite. What are the holes you would submit as the quintessential of Houston DG. Which would you toss in the garbage and start over..etc, etc

My favorites would be any I have aced - had nothing to do with the layout/design of said hole.

I think some of the best holes will be many of the new ones at Jack Brooks....if you haven't been out to see yet, you need to check it out.

Thought I'd put in my two cents and revive this topic:

Best holes in Houston:

#4, #13 @ Oak Meadows (Yes, 13 - I love that is tight in the trees and deceptively long. You always think okay 12 is over all I have is this short flick, and somehow it still always ends up short of your intended area)
#2 Alternate @ Terramont - I love the curve into the elevation.
#18 - Anges Moffit - It's gotten a lot easier since that huge tree was taken out a while back.
#10 - Bear Branch
#1 - TC Jester - Don't have a great reason, I just like how I get to shape this shot around the trees.

The winner: #2 Alternate @ Terramont - Just a great hole that is challenging, but rewards a proper shot.

Worst Holes:
#2 - Mozola (Yes, just to reiterate - just not well set up.)
Any hole at Ceder Brook Elementary or Burke Crenshaw (post construction)
#17 - Bear Branch - It's just dumb. The curve is not natural for how tight the lane is.
#9 Terramont - Just boring. (Even when it's a water hole)
#6-9 Gwen Hurska (or however you spell it) - again, four of the most unimaginative holes in Houston - together.
#10 - Oak Meadows (The hole is evil. Not really a "bad" hole, I just have to hate in on principle that it has cost me so much money)

The Onion: #9 @ Terramont - From the best hole to the most boring, this hole is weak even when it's an island. #17 @ Bear Branch follows in a close second.

Cedar Brook, Burke Crenshaw, Mason, etc... are not considered since that would just simply be unfair because I don't really consider them real holes on real courses.

After playing Oak Meadows for the first time, I must say that I don't like #9. Ate two of my discs today, and the basket on the slope next to the water sucks also.

I do like #3 because in the second round I made a 110ft putt.

You have to admit #2 Alt @ Terramont is pretty sweet, but I do admit there is a lot of bias about #10 at Oak Meadow. Strange though - I've never had any real issue with #8 or #9, just evil #10.

That's what you get for playing in a gale force wind, I told my brother-in-law I wasn't going near Oak Meadow yesterday, so instead we hit Anges Moffitt

I definitely like alt#2, no doubt. we are working on alt#6 right now, its the only one that never got full attention.

Are you actually going to make it turn more into the woods more? I tell you Alt #9 saves that hole - I think the alt's need to be promoted more, since it really does make the course from decent to pretty dang good.

When are you actually working on the holes? It'd be fun to help out where possible.

6 is going to be longer into the woods but less angle. there is a downed tree that we are moving that will make the fairway, right now the alt is just set up in an old pathway, it was never intended to stay that way.
