Thanks Scott, but Matt Stillwagon and Thomas Burks both deserve congrats as they have been instrumental in keeping it going every weekend when I couldn't make it for some reason.

The players that keep showing up every weekend are the ones that deserve the biggest congrats though...I think I'll try to make up a list of player names and how many times they played the Commando...there are some of these guys that have showed up almost as many weeks as I have...maybe more in Matt's case!

The Commando Mini will be running (hopefully) this weekend.

Last weekend, we got hammered by the weather! Spring Valley closed their doors just as the guys started arriving so we moved over to Bear Branch instead. We got 5 holes in before the rain started up...then it started raining really hard on #6 so we had a couple drop out, so the 4 of us toughed it out for two more holes and finally I asked the players to stop play because we started seeing lightning flashes and lots o thunder.

Thomas is going to run it this weekend in my absence. Thanks Thomas!!! You ROCK!!!

The weather is supposed to be great tomorrow. However, with the amount of rain we've had, Spring Valley may not be an option. I am assuming we will migrate to Bear Branch if that happens?

The Branch might be pretty bad also. I plan on playing at McDade. Maybe a round with the leauge players and a round with the Birdshot crew.

The Commando Mini is running this morning (5/24/2009)

Be there by 10:00 am and we'll be getting started shortly after that.

The cost is still $10 which includes Ace Pot and Mulligan.

I can't wait to get back to playing some rounds on Houston's best course.

Yep...The Commando Mini will be running 9th session of the 2009 season this morning at 10:00 am.

Ace Pot stands at exactly $99 going into this morning's gig.

Course is in great shape and very shady with minimal standing water anywhere. Water present in the holes on #5, #7 and #14/#15 is OB.
