I'm sure they are still hanging out in the A/C.
Sounds like it was a crispy kritter kinda thingy.

We wanted to go, but headed to a wedding in Birmingham. I guess even we have to take a weekend off sometime. How's the course now?

From what I hear Circle C got a facelift like no other. This was my first time ever playing there, and it is a not-so-friendly but beautiful course. It has been by far the most difficult course I have ever played. The terrain is much more different than the Houston flat land scene. Waterloo Disc Golf Club did an amazing job catering to the event and each 18 hole heat felt like 15 minutes rather than 3 hours. I have been playing for about 2 months now, and it was a great feeling to see how I could practice my skills at each hole. I took home first in the REC division and won 60 bucks in prizes and a 25 bucks to use at DiscNation. I want to start playing weekly here in Houston but don't know where to play. Any ideas?

Leagues or mini's are the best bet. This board has all the info on them, but if you let everybody know what side of town you're on, suggestions could be made on the closest options.

Lou did a great time as a first time TD! Welcome to tournament play and congrats on your win!
As Patrick said, there's organized golf throughout the week around town. |

Thanks, yeah he did a great job and was very nice to us outsiders from Houston, lol. I would love to play a tourney at Pease Park in ATX.

Only want to play Pease if you are into hitting rocks on every drive. Each year I am upset about the course yet go back and last year I went to Tulsa for an NT. Came back this year for the great 5.5 hour round in muck and mud which actually masked how bad most of the boxes are. Said I won't go back again but I'm sure i will be there wondering why the boxes still suck and all the Obs aren't marked. ![]() If they upgrade to concrete it goes from a 6.5 to a 7.5 on my scale. |

Yeah that sounds like Pease. I've never played it when it's soaked, but I bet it would be a not so pleasant experience. Pease is where I first ever started playing DG so it holds a place dear to my heart.

I wouldn't expect to see COTO there next year, as Shoal Creek is finally going to get a makeover inside the park. That's what I've heard, and maybe that might help with
FLASH FLOODING! Not the funnest experience during two rounds this past May. I know for the time being they have weekly minis, so you might want to try to hit one soon. |
