Made my first ever trip to the park today - 5-9 are gone and only construction workers remain. There was a big sign about a future softball complex.

Goodbye Burke-Crenshaw.
Enjoyed playing you while you were around.

Is there anyway that the city might donote the remaining baskets to the club, so they can be used for future courses? If they don't, I am sure they are going to end up at a junk yard somewhere.

Pasadena Parks Administration 3111 San Augustine Pasadena, TX 77503 Phone: 713-740-7062 Fax: 713-477-7210 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Linton Ardoin is the person you need to ask for. When I called I asked what the city's plans are to provide a disc golf course at another park, or to redesign the course as a nine hole in the same park. The city of Pasadena has been cannibalizing their parks over the past few years for schools and neighborhoods (about 60% of Burke-Crenshaw park is gone already) and if we don't get our voices heard the city won't have any disc golf courses at all. I'll let you know if I find anything out. |

I spoke with someone at the Parks Department - The city plans on re-positioning the missing baskets (they claim only one has been removed) within the park around the new softball complex. Apparently the hold up is that they don't have a clue how to design the course and are researching how disc golf courses should be laid out.
That sounds like a job for someone on this board. Again, contact Linton Ardoin at 713-740-7062 if you can help. |

My eyesight may be getting a little worse, but I sure didn't see any baskets in construction area or in the distance. Granted it was my first time on the course, but even if I had seen the baskets, I don't know if I could have played them with the construction fence set up and workers and trucks everywhere.

My friend Tyler is working with the parks department to redo the whole course. He said he has it all mapped out and has walked it with a guy from the parks dept. I havent talked with him in a while but i will call him for some updates.
