Tourney Trophy Discraft Ace Race at Texas Army Trail - Oct 15, 2011

Did you miss out on the Ace Race at Oak Meadows?

Then join us at Texas Army Trail on 10/15/11.

When: October 15, 2011. Flex start between 9:00 and 10:00. Registration opens at 8:30.

Format: Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player.

Course layout: Holes are generally between 180 and 250 feet.

Entry fee: $25

Player package: Guaranteed to be at least twice the value of your entry fee! The 2011 player pack is expected to include two Discraft prototype discs made especially for the Ace Race, plus a SuperColor mini, and sweet disc bag for every player. More than a $50 value!

Registration: Pre-registration is required. Limited slots will be available after September 23rd. Download registration forms at http://discgolfacerace.com/downloads/2011reg.pdf.

Mail check or money order to Chris Shell, 15034 Forest Lodge Dr., Houston, Texas 77070-1215. Payment can also be submitted at the TAT Sunday Minis, directly to Chris Shell.

Registration by mail must be received by September 23rd to guarantee a spot. After September 23rd, Please contact Chris Shell or email chris@texasarmytrail.com to inquire if a limited spot is available.

Rules of play: Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. All players should have their own scorecards and mark "A" for aces and "M" for holes on which they hit metal. After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round. The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.

Prize package: Grand prize is a Discraft merchandise package, including a bag and eight premium discs.

Optional Event: Casual round to follow Ace Race

Yes, the players pack will contain the same disc, bags, etc. as the Oak Meadow's Ace Race.

We working on adding some Texas Army Trail flavor to the event, but we don't have all the details defined yet.

Parking: The Parking lot is still under construction, so please park across the street (and slightly north) at Telge Park or along Pleasant Grove Rd. Walk south along Telge Rd. and cross under the bridge at Cypress Creek.

Flex start between 9:00 and 10:00. Registration opens at 8:30.
Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player. Most holes will be at the miniumum of 120 feet.
12:00-1:00 PM Awards & Lunch!
1:00-3:00PM Casual Round

We did order some extra packages, but have some verbal commitments. We won't be cooking hambugers and hot dogs because of the open flame ban; however, we will have some brisket for lunch.
