Chains is a feature-length hi-def movie about Disc Golf. This will be the 1st time it is shown in Texas. - Tickets are $5 before the event, $10 day of (if tickets remain). Available at Disc Nation, Twin Parks and the Waterloo Tournament (see Phillip Haik) - Features an autograph session with stars from the movie - Outside, Under the stars!! Everyons is encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on during the movie. Friday Oct. 21st - Tournament starts (all 64 players) Saturday. Oct 22nd - Big Moving Day. Field moves from 16 to 4 Sunday Oct 23rd - Final 4 Battle it out & the winner is crowned!! You can download a printable version of a flyer for these events here: http://www.discnation.com/skin1/imag...011_Wahoos.gif The main goal for Player's Cup this year is to drive attendance, so the only part of the weekend with an admission fee is Chains. Everything else is free to attend. Twin Parks has been working hard on the facility and just built a big deck on to the front of Steady's Bar where they'll be serving food and drinks all weekend. The 1st hole tee, as-well-as 9th and 18th greens are all within 100' of the clubhouse, so there will be plenty of action coming by the deck. We're hoping to be able to live stream the coverage from the course in the bar, but I think they're still working out the details. The course is an all new design that plays between the Hill and Shire specifically designed for match play with a lot of risk/reward throughout. Anything you can do to spread the word to customers, players, friends, and the like would be much appreciated. Tickets to Chains are $5 before the event ($10 day of) and we're hoping to sell out before the 19th. We're also especially trying to drive a big crowd on Saturday which will look good for the DVD. Please forward this to any folks you think may be interested in participating in some or all of these events. And, of course, thanks in advance for any help you can provide in promoting the tournament. We're really excited for all involved with this great tournament and hope this event marks a major milestone in Austin Disc Golf History! |

That's no good. Hopefully he didn't store his disc golf bag in the trunk like most people.

Thanks... but this is a bit misleading. We had a great match. I started off HOT - jumping out to a 5 hole lead after 9. Then the wind kicked in and my confidence waned... Yeti stormed back to tie it up w/ 2 holes to play. Yikes.
Hit a great birdie on 17 and canned a good cross wind 27' pressure putt on 18 to squeak out a win. Great event. Played good during the morning matches. Stunk it up in the afternoon matches. The course was looooooong! My arm hurt for a week afterwards. |
