Crossing my fingers in hopes that the Tourney Course is up (or mostly up) and heading to Houston here pretty soon.

Player's meeting is at 8:30am on Saturday morning at the tennis court area.
Dave said today that Saturday morning check-in will begin ~7am and run until 8:20am. Player meeting to start at 8:30am.

Patrick Brogdon & myself will be taking entry fees for doubles starting at noon today at Tournament Headquarters, which will be located at the Powell parking lot near the tennis courts. The cost will be $20 per team...flex start from noon to 3:30 (we'd like to be able to get home at a decent hour!)...pros play for cash (top third) & everyone else for plastic (top half). You will be playing the Wilmont course, so after signing up & paying fees you can drive over to that parking lot. Payout will be available at lunch time on Saturday. It's still a little wet out there, so dress your feet appropriately!

Can someone explain to me Powell #11? Is the basket going to be on the access road itself? And you have to go between the yellow poles that make the gate?

One suggestion, for Powell #4 and #6, make the tee boxes wide enough so teeing from the grass is an option. Most players will be wearing cleats of some kind and those are the only two tee boxes, that I found, that are paved. Makes for a slippery situation when you come off the wet grass to try and plant on the asphalt.

Dave's intent was something like that. Yesterday he mentioned he might forgo the non-standard double mando approach to the basket.

Jim hated when we did that at The LINKS:

I like the idea of the extra wide boxes, on grass only. I am about a consistent box.
Is the challenge of an inconcestent box really nescessary when there is an option to have a consistent one?

Really??

I was talking about when you had a box on top of a small mound that had a up hill run-up and a down hill follow threw. Plus you had to have a good drive to clear the water... Second it was on a Ball Golf course that had all the space you needed to have a consistent grass box for all the holes. The design you came up with, had boxes on mounds and on odd placed concrete/grass options...

Dixon's idea of extra wide boxes to give options is just fine, you know consistent GRASS BOXES...

I do things all the time that Jim doesn't like; i.e., beating him in extra holes at minis, not breaking off trees that are in the way of my putt, suppoting the police, etc.

What do the TD's think about secure footing for the cleat footed folks?

What time is tee of tomorrow? If I understand right, and I'd like to think I am, we have one round of 24. The sign said tee off at 9:15 and 2:15. Which one of them should I show up for?
