Yes, that's the location. The renovations started last year sometime. It started with the parking lot.

I played there Jan 10, 2010 and there was no construction at all. Just a missing practice basket and a bunch of Christmas trees piling up at the dumpster. So all that stuff has happened in the last two months.

It has all been torn up in the past 2 months or so. Its a mess right now and yes, 7 has been completely gutted to make way for an ampitheater. We are still holding out hope for 18 out there? Across 43rd there is a nice stretch of land - maybe even room for a hole across the bayou?

I met with HPARD representative, Louis Moore this morning at the TC Jester park to show him the proposed relocation of basket #7 and to deliver a couple of proposals to him to take to Joe Turner.

We can probably expect a "quick" answer about the relocation of #7 basket and tees within 2 weeks according to Mr. Moore. The expansion of TC Jester proposal and a Reforestation of Disc Golf Courses proposal will take quite a bit longer, but I will be making follow-up inquiries every two weeks or so until we get their official response.

I'll post up information about its status whenever I hear anything about it.

I will be meeting with HPARD tomorrow morning to review one more time where the #7 basket will be moved to and where the tee posts will be located once the construction out there is complete. It looks like one of the folks I'll be meeting with tomorrow will actually move the basket for us since he has access to heavier equipment than my hand-shovels. Ha!

I don't know when it'll get moved, but I'm anticipating that it'll happen this week, so I'll start planning on starting up the TC Jester league next Thursday night. (Please spread the word around that it will be starting up.) I'll try to figure out what our schedule is going to be for this run. We might have to start out by playing a 5-week league with 1 drop week.

Still no word on the 2 additional proposals I submitted to them. It's only been 3 weeks though.

The TC Jester league will begin next week.

When I arrived at the park this morning to meet with HPARD, we all learned that the #7 basket had already been moved!!! WTF-??? (It was within 15 feet of the location I had picked out so I decided to let it stand.)

I will review where the other leagues are within their current schedule to see how many weeks we'll be playing - I want to time the league so that it ends on the same week that the other leagues do so that Andi and Don only have one week of toting their disc inventory around.

If the remaining weeks in this league is 4 or less, then we might start out by running a 10 week league.

I am going to experiment with a couple different T-box locations for #7's long and short tees.

For those of you that have been interested in playing the TC Jester league, mark it on your calendars - 5/6/2010 will be the starting date!

Hope to see all of you out there!
