Wow...the year's nearly over already! Our 4th annual end of the year Doubles & Awards Ceremony will be held Saturday December 3rd at T. C. Jester Park. We're only doing one round this year instead of two, so the day won't be as long as in the past. Day-of registration will be from 8:30 to 9:30 & we'll start at 10:00....bring your own partner....Rec, Int, Adv & Open divisions...$20 per team & optional $1 per player ace pot (CTP throwoff if nobody hits it)....AMs will be paid in plastic! Online registration will be up soon at www.houstonbirdshot.com. This is a non-sanctioned event & usually a big party, so come on out & join the fun....limit of 42 teams! We'll be playing all 21 holes.....7 each of best shot, alternating shot & best score....should be done before sunset!

If this isn't sanctioned, then why run AM payout in plastic? Seems like a lot of extra trouble for everyone involved if it isn't needed.

We always give DG ProShop that option...even at non-sanctioned events. As far as league goes, I was under the impression that Chuck had cleared that with you guys...is that not the case? If not, can we do that right here right now in front of everybody (i.e., could you see it in your hearts to skip league that Saturday)?

I don't know about the league jazz...Conrad runs the Saturday Jester league so maybe Chuck had already worked it out with Conrad...I don't know.

Okay, peeps.....just got the e-mail back from Conrad & he is graciously skipping league on Saturday December 3rd! We apologize to you league players who are getting bumped for our little doubles party...please bring a partner & come on out & join us! Thanks to Conrad, HFDS & you leaguers for giving us the course for the morning & afternoon...it is much appreciated!

Not much action yet in registration....ERic Jubin/C.J. Hopper in Advanced...Patrick Brogdon/Chris MacGregor, Tiffany Brogdon/Billy Gilbert in Recreational....that leaves 39 more teams!

Updated teams list.....Open Division has just one team so far...Chris Vandagriff & Tim McCall (Team Viking K.Y.F.A.M.F.). Advanced....ERic Jubin & C. J. Hopper (2011 World Champions?)....and Dax Nutt & Jimmy Solesbee (Deaf Jam). In Intermediate....Jack Camp & Ed Morgan...and (I think...haven't heard back from them yet) Edward Gardere & Ken Bache (Reckless Drivers). In Recreational....Patrick Brogdon & Chris MacGregor, David Currey & Randy Samora (Team Lightning) and Susan Macaluso & Billy Gilbert (Team 1959). Obviously there's still plenty of room for you guys & gals to sign up Saturday morning....no $5 day-of fees either for this one....come on out & let's make it a party!!!
