Reposting e-mail sent to the HFDS e-mail address:
Hi, I used to play in the Wed nite league there in Houston, still have my old bagtag on my new innova golf bag, and have hugely fond memories of great disc golf with ya’ll … Just wanted to say hey, and mention that I have 2 nephews who came out to Atlanta recently. We all went to throw golf at a local course and they loved it! I gave everyone a new Roc, and told em to go play in TX when they get home – they wanted to play all the long holes and were stoked on the game. So here’s the thing: Their names are Thomas and James, they live in Katy, and they are both looking for an Eagle Scout project. Well, we talked about them doing some work on a local disc course. Maybe putting in some benches, making a bridge that’s needed, or signage; something like that. I told them the HFDS would no doubt have lots of ideas for improvement on any number of courses, so what do you think? Can you put these young dudes to work and let them earn their Eagles wings? Hey, thanks for many great years of disc golf!!! Stewart J McCallum |
