The facilities fee is definitely a mistake....Chris forgot to take that out of the template from Day-Of Course (which means that those of you who have registered online so far are going to be owed $2 back!). Although it's not really any fun to do so, you CAN play the tourney if you want to as a one person division. Chuck used to do it all the time to encourage people to play in Advanced Grandmasters! We have a Rec Women player who unfortunately plays by herself a lot because not that many women play...but she doesn't want to donate to Men's Rec (and I don't blame her!). So....FOR THE RECORD!....until Chris has time to get into the template & fix things, the $2 facilities fee is a mistake! If you don't want to wait until Chris fixes it (c'mon, buddy!) then we'll either owe you $2 when you check in or we can donate it to Texas Womens (which, as it turned out, is what happened with that same fee at DOC because the city never brought the port-o-cans!).

Okay...just got off the ether with Chris...the site has been updated! The fees are still the same though...if we HAD been charging a greens fee it would have been $2 more. So we don't owe anybody any money back....sorry for the state of confusion...we've all been really busy! Now...sign up!!! We have 84 spots to fill!!!

Is there a request in for the grass to be mowed before next weekend?

I was out there yesterday and had to spend time looking for discs in the middle of the fairway on 8. The grass is tall enough to come through the bottom of the basket on by several inches on 7. Anything the lands on the slope going to the water is a jungle adventure waiting to happen.

I'm going to ask our Parks & Rec. guy if he can get the course mowed next week

Question Re: Birdshot DGProShop/Surely You Jester/C-Tier/March 31, 2012

So what all would I have to pay if I've never played in a tournament before? How do I know what division I would be in? I usually end up around 3-6 over with a personal best of even playing all 21 from the white tees on this course.

Just got an update from Parks & Rec., TC Jester is scheduled to be mowed this Friday, but no promises

How about Mozola? I lost a disc on the hillside on 9.

Hole 1 is pretty rough too.

heh-heh-heh...it figures.

The weather forecast has been clear all week and the only day showing 50% chance of precipitation is Friday...and I don't think they operate the mowers in the rain.

Billy/Chuck - think we can line up some spotters on #4 and #8 ?

Non-PDGA members pay an extra $10 to play in PDGA sanctioned tournaments. That entitles you to a PDGA Supporting membership. To collect that benefit after the event head on over to http://www.pdga.com/supporting and fill out the necessary information. You'll receive a PDGA number, mini marker disc, and rulebook... or you can get a $10 discount on a full membership to get those things plus a membership card, PDGA logo disc, and subscription to "Disc Golfer" magazine.

Estimated SSA (what 1000-rated players would average) from the White tees is 57.7. That's roughly 8.4 ratings points per stroke... which means a 66 would be ~930, and a 69 would be ~905... that puts you squarely in Intermediate (MA2).
