That's what was discussed at the meeting, but I don't think a final decision on location has been made yet.

Since Cory's Bike Shop/Gorilla Disc Golf has scheduled an event for February 2, 2012, we are discussing moving the date for Ice Bowl to Feb. 23rd. At this time we are seeking to confirm this date with the powers that be to prevent a conflict. Also, we are planning on Agnes Moffitt. I expect an official announcement will be made tomorrow.

Cool. Just a heads up...and I don't know if it makes a difference, but...the Victoria Open is usually in late February. I don't know if this is still the case, but a lot of Houston people used to go down for it. They haven't posted the dates yet, but last year, it was 2/25-26.

The 21st Annual HFDS Houston Ice Bowl, for the benefit of the
Houston Food Bank

In these historically tough economic times, there are more folks than ever
that will need the Houston Food Bank’s assistance. Please come out, play
some disc golf and help the hungry in our community.

• Location: Agnes Moffitt Park
• When: Saturday, February 23rd
• Time: Sign up is between 9:00-10:00 AM. Tee off at 10:30 AM.
• Cost: $10 per player with an optional $1 mulligan.
• Bring extra money for raffle tickets! We will have a Innova
Sport model DISCatcher as the grand prize.
• If you have anything that you can donate for additional raffle
prizes, please bring it. It will add to the fun and hopefully encourage
more donations to the Food Bank.

All proceeds benefit the Houston Food Bank

I (Kent Bray) have posted something on my facebook page to try to encourage people to come out and play, and help raise money for the food bank. If you can get some people to post something like this on their facebook pages, maybe it will get at least a few extra people out.

Last year 96 players came together and raised $2217 which ranked 27th of Ice Bowls worldwide. Let’s try and beat that this year!
