OMG!!!

Tomorrow is doubles week at the Commando Mini !!!!

But probably even more important, it is going to be our holiday disc exchange week!!!

For those are interested, (it is completely optional, but we'd love to have your participation) please bring an un-wrapped, new, premium disc and you'll be eligible to participate in our disc exchange. We'll run the exchange in white elephant style: all the discs will go on display in a jumble on the table, and the first person takes his/her choice, second person has the option of taking the first person's choice or taking another off the table, if a person gets a disc taken from them, then they can pick from another person (except the one that took theirs) or draw another off the table. I think we ought to stipulate that once you've had a disc taken from you, you're "safe" until another new name gets called from the list. The first person will have the "option" to take someone else's disc or keep what he/she has as the final turn.

Last year's holiday exchange was a blast and I'm looking forward to doing it again this year!

I've dug down deep in my collection box for a Grade-A, premium plastic disc - I think it will generate a lot of "action" - Hee-hee-hee.

I'm looking forward to seeing YOU out there in the morning...please dress warm...it looks like it might be the record for the coldest Commando we've had! Ha-ha!

The Commando Mini is running this morning!

I called up to the Spring Valley Pro Shop and John reports that they are open for business!

The weather is starting out brisk at around 41 degrees and should be climbing all the way up to about 61 degrees by 1:00pm. My advice is to wear some layers so that you can shed a layer as it warms up. A twenty degree temp swing is pretty big.

I hope to see everyone up there this morniing - it looks like some fine disc golf weather! Yay!!!

Larry, you might want to call ahead over there. I went yesterday to the pro shop. They told me the finesse course was in rough shape w some of the holes still under.
Bear branch isn't much better w 7 & 8 under water. If notthe Valley, you may want to consider Conroe.

Hmmmm, cold, wet... maybe McDade park even though it's a bit further for those coming from way down South. By far the most playable course when wet.

I've been trying Matt, but I can't get through to them. The phone does something weird when I dial them...instead of ringing...it sounds like a continuous dial-tone.

I just spoke with Thomas Burks, and he is going to take a quick run by there and see what's up.

If Spring Valley is closed due to high water, then we are going to move to Conroe's McDade Park for the Commando this morning.

We should know something in about 10 more minutes or so.

Probably because of the flooded phone wires!

Spring Valley course is open and the only place where it might be a little soggy is on hole #4.

We're playing at Spring Valley this morning! Hope to see all of you up there. I'm going to be arriving a little late this morning...see ya when I get there.

Are we still having the Mini on Sunday at SVDGC? I was there earlier in the week and the creek was pretty high.

The Commando Mini is on at Spring Valley this morning!!!

I called up there, and spoke with Larry. He says that there were a few people out there yesterday and that they didn't report any problems playing the course due to high water.

If it is a little bit high like last weekend, we'll still play it like last week and we'll skip #4 and play the "transition hole" of the Power-9 as our 18th basket.

Weather feels very pleasant this morning for a little DG action...not too cold and not too hot, with a light breeze blowing which should make it just perfect!

Hope to see all of you out there this morning. It'll be good to get out and stretch the legs a bit before parking in front of the TV somewhere to watch the "Who Dat?" Bowl. See ya up there at 10.
