Anyway saying that just because you live by a course it is your "home" course is lame. Anyway can you give me a laser measurement to my home course?

Mattman, thank you for trying to help others understand "humor."

And Lou, if someone came into my church and started trashing it, I would defend it. If someone came into my home and started trashing it, I would defend it. If someone stepped in front of the TV while the Cowboys were playing, I would kill them. So yeah, just a tad bit on the goony side if you must.

I don't care if you're the greatest disc golfer in the world (instead of just your neighborhood), it's only disc golf. You're not saving lives, you're not donating organs, and in this case, you're not donating a go**amn thing; you're playing a game. To be paid to play a game should in itself be a fun thing, it shouldn't make you angry. Professional athletes are fined for trashing the officials. If I go to work and start bad mouthing the job or my boss, I'm back on the sidewalk at Home Depot tomorrow morning looking for a new job and eating taquitos made from who knows what.

Eric has donated A LOT of time getting measurements for courses which at times we couldn't even find the tee boxes. Is every single measurement 100% accurate; I would venture to say no, no offense Eric. But instead of a "thank you for the effort," he gets "Are you an idiot, don't you know anything."

If you don't like the measurement, take your slap-happy ass out in the heat, lay your wanker on the ground and for every 12 lengths of your wanker, that's 6 inches. Get out on the web site and give us the accurate measurement and quit dogging someone else's efforts. Something like, "Eric, I really appreciate all of your work but I think you might have measured hole #11 inaccurately. I got out there yesterday and here's the numbers as I saw them. Let's meet out on the course so I can see where you are measuring from and maybe we can get in a round together."

Instead it's all negative; ALL negative, not one sentence of appreciation, gratitude, or "Hey can I help" for the sport that to 99.9% of us, is simply just a lot of fun.

This is the Houston Flying Disc Society message board dedicated to promoting the sport of disc golf. The kid needs a MySpace account. You can even put pictures of you shooting the finger at the Birdshot guys and "I AM THE DG GOD (not my Dad) OF THE WORLD" posters.

I have a 19 year old son so yeah, I take this personally. He's an adult and allowed to make his own decisions but if I noticed him posting comments like Matt's, I'd at least ask him if he would let Dad pull his head out of his ass for him or get him a snorkel while he contemplated pulling it out himself.

I don't volunteer; I play. But I've told Chuck on numerous occasions how much I appreciated his efforts. I've let Billy know what a great job he's doing putting together the tournaments and I've fooled around with Matt's wife when he's out of town. I believe in supporting the game with everything I have and it bothers me to hear someone else trash it in a forum meant to promote the sport.

The floor is now open; I promise I'm done with this topic. I want to get back to making stupid comments about something else.

"Parted or not, surrounded by water IS out of bounds."

Just practice what you preach Dg. We still have freedom of speech in this country and if someone can't voice their opinion without threats what do we have? And as for helping and working on courses in this town don't even think Matt and I have not done our fair share and more. So If you think the kid complains to much (gets it from his mom) maybe he earned the right by seeing things done right in the past, for all of disc golf not just the chosen few.

we all know that DG can't ever be anything more than a player....ask, no better not, but hey, we are all God's children, aren't we? Even Matt!

So, I think the message of the mini got lost down there....when does it start and it's this Saturday?

The park is in an area between I-10 on the North, Memorial on the South, Dairy Ashford on the West, and Kirkwood on the East.

Here's a link to a map:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...2,0.02871&z=15
You can put in your own starting location for directions.
