Good to know. I downloaded the map from DGCR - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=263&mode=lf and if you can pull it off, it should be a good challenge.

Cedar Brook, Burke Crenshaw, Mason, etc... are not considered since that would just simply be unfair because I don't really consider them real holes on real courses.

Well the Parks Dept does as someone must have been payed to design them.

I do like #3 because in the second round I made a 110ft putt.

#9 must be a good hole then.

Burke Crenshaw is out of the mix since only 4 holes exist, and then number 3 long would probably be on the bad list since it's a poorly designed pinball hole. Mason doesn't count since it really isn't playable, and the elementary school was designed for elementary school kids - that's not fair to compare to something that was designed to adult players. If you did, most of those would be on the list since they are shorter and straighter than #9 at Terramont!

In no particular order here is my list of the best holes in Houston. At the end Ill name a winner.

Wilmont - 8,14,18
Powell - 8,9,10,18
Jack Brooks - 2,16,17,18
Jack Brook Cedar Hills - 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,13,14 (The first 9 holes on this course are the finest in town)
Spring Valley Finesse - 2,3,4,11,17,18
Spring Valley Power 9 - 1,8
Bear Branch - 16,17
Terramont - 5,8
McDade - 2,3,14,17 (Newest Config, these hole numbers seem to change everyday)
Northside Church - 1,3,7
Windwood - 2,3,5,7,10,11,
Oak Meadows - 3,4,6,10,12
Links at Quail Valley Little Links (RIP) - 2,7,9,10,13
Taylor Lake - 10,11
Mason Park - 1,4,8
MacGregor - 10,11,16,A
Agnes Moffit - 2 shorts,15 Longs,18 longs

Im sure Im missing some, anyways of all those I gotta say my favorite is .......... #1 Mason Park ohh and the crowd is stunned. It was close between that and 8 at Wilmont but in the end I just really dig that hole. It is tight, incorporates elevation, risk vs reward, and a very challenging pin position. Making it a great hole.

Taylor Lake - 10,11
FYI - #11 at TLV is a shadow of it's former self. We've had to move the hole due to wetland trampling. Now it's a short dull hole. We'll fix it though.

#8 at Mason is a really fantastic hole. I like #1 too but #8 is just jaw dropping when you first come to the tee and see the basket.

I like #13 at The Links and #11 orange tee at the Links. Neal said that the Links will be coming back with 9 or 10 baskets probably in the Largo configuration. I will need some shorter tee box alternates.

I completely agree, I remember when we played the mini and everyone on my card was like "Wow this is a cool hole". Its pretty amazing that a course that was left for dead is now my favorite 9 holer in Houston, having at least 3 great holes and about 4 other really good ones.
