The buck always stops with the CEO. The CEO should step down.

The least you can do is make sure none of our flyers use the font Papyrus.

I still don't get this points system thing! How is is fair that I win MPO and make less than 1/2 of what Griff did? I realize it is a points system but you should take ALL the 950+ or whatever golfers and list them by score after the event and THEN give them points based on score and not just how many people they happen to beat in their own division.

IDK it just seems like if you play big divisions you will have a better shot even if you shoot poorly. FWIW I also dislike the PDGA points sytem for this but the BCS points would be an easy formula to make correctly.

Jeremy got 88pts at one event yet my personal best is only 40pts.....also Shane got 60 to my 30 at McDade where I shot pretty hoTT golf.

I gotta be honest with you, I don't understand this points thing either. It seems to me that all you have to do is show up and play at the minis and tourneys and you're in the running for the top three or four spots. I mean hell, I'm still rated a novice but got myself all kinds of points just for showing up. So, I guess you just need to show up.

It's just as fair as the PDGA points system on which it is based. More players in a division means more points available.

How successful have you been at getting the PDGA to change their points system?

The Birdshot system has evolved (for the better) every year so far, and I don't expect that to stop.

You're a TD and you don't understand the points system

No one gets "all kinds of points" just for "showing up". Just showing up gets you the minimum number of points in your division. Playing well and placing highly in a large division is what gets you "all kinds" of points.

PDGA points are based by division......ADV and Pro are separate along with women! This system almost guarantees an ADV player will win the 950+ division if they "show up" because even if they play poorly they will beat 5 players and make as much as the open winner who played better golf. If they shoot 970 golf they will take 1st or 2nd beating 8-20 players while the biggest Open division at a Birdshot event is 8 players!

Obviously you don't understand PDGA points.....and also don't realize that they are a joke anyway and at least that system makes partial sense.

Before you say anything I realize a Adv GM can play intermediate to rack up PDGA points but that is quite different than an Pro player being denied the opportunity to beat an ADV winner in pts. even though they may have won by 30 strokes over the series.

Pile all the 950 players into a pool and sort by score THEN separate out scores. This way more players would have a shot of placing well.....MPMs for example like Neal, Joe, and Alex while making the ADV baggers compete with similar rated players instead of just scooping points from the top on the AM1 division which averages double that of the Pro winner!

The post of yours to which I responded seemed to be aimed at a single event. Not the season standings. That was the direction from which my reply came.

It is clear to me now that you're grousing about the series as a whole. As I said: the points series has evolved every year so far and I would expect it to do so again. Thanks for the feedback.
