Default Rolling On The River II at Gwen Hruska Park April 11, 2009

This will be our second mini at Gwen Hruska Park in the River Plantation subdivision just before you get to Conroe. This is a fun little course that meanders around the neighborhood & golf course....a nice warm-up if you're heading to Conroe to play McDade (which is what we will do after the mini!). Check-in from 8:00 to 8:45....clinic for newbies if needed...players' meeting at 9:00...tee off immediately after that! Take I-45 North to River Plantation Dr....take a right & go about one mile to the SECOND Brandon St. that you'll see....take another right & then hang a right at Butler's Island. Tee number one is right there....ya'll come!

HEY PEOPLE! This is a GREAT course for kids, Conall will be playing, and I'd LOVE to continue the momentum from this past weekend, so PLEASE, let's get some more kids out there for this weekend.
Chuck, we have a course steward for this course, we'll have him go out and get a group out there to make sure the place is in good shape for when you guys make it there.

Thanks for pointing that out, Mr. Blue! Yes, this definitely is a great "starter course"...so bring the kiddos or first-timers young or old & see if we can't give them that same bug that bit us long ago! It's not totally pitch & putt though...there are quite a few trees in the way of many of the holes...just no really long holes out there (just in case some of you are thinking that it's a baby course!).

Billy,
I think that is a LAME excuse to throw out there! I know you shot +18, but that doesn't speak to anything other than your game, not the course. LOL!

The wooden tee posts are a real pain whether you are left or right handed, they are poor design and need to be chopped in half.
Hyzer release or your follow-through you can count on getting pretty close to breaking your hand on them.

Billy,

I was wondering if I could car pool with you or Chuck up to this tournament. I know you guys are thinking about playing Mcdade afterwards which is fine with me. I could meet you somewhere near Bay Area Mall or where ever you guys would like. I live in Bacliff so I am not sure what would be easier. Let me know what you think. If it is not possible there will be no hard feelings. Just trying save a little on my end. Thanks.
