That is fine with me, but what do the rules say about how far back you can throw from a tee post? There are no real teeboxes and theres no designation about throwing to the left or right of the post either. I know the concrete pads at lake lewisville were about 20ft long

Yeah, you're right...I was just trying to be cute! Actually, there are quite a few holes out there where either the hole is too close to the next tee or the box is too close to the posts and/or trees. Usually we will try to flag the boxes out there when we have an organized mini...we actually marked some alternates for the second round of nine Saturday. It's a nice pretty little course with nice landscaping, but not very well designed (obviously not by a player anyway). There was some confusion at the mini about what was OB, but we worked it out. Chuck & I think it makes the course a little more interesting to make sidewalk and BEYOND out of bounds...not just the sidewalk (what's the sidewalk supposed to be, a winding river?).

It was designed by a River Plantation resident, and although I would have made some different choices, he didnt do that bad, especially when it comes to having a course that doesnt let many throws end up on the ball golf course, he was obviously concious of that, and he didnt make any dogleg shots.

I am against OB, i think there is way too much unncessary OB in this game. It is out of hand and people need to take a look at ball golf to realize the purpose of OB, it is intended for areas that you cannot possibly throw from and it should be clearly marked, not just some spot pulled off the top of your head.

Seeing as the course is fairly easy, the added OB of the sidewalk and beyond makes the course much more challenging.
My friends and I played the other day and enjoyed playing with the OB.

The OB was very questionable on about half of the alternate tees though.
