Default League in Sugar Land/Missouri City

Is there any plans to start up a league in any of those courses? There are plenty of nice ones to choose from.

Closest thing there is right now is the weekly Southwest Handicap Mini:

How do the minis work? It looks similar to a league. Do I have to be a member?

No membership required. And IMO better than a league since there's no requirement to show up on a regular basis. So you don't lose out if you're on vacation, have to work late that week, or what not.

You just show up a bit before the scheduled tee time and pay the $7 entry fee for that week. $5 of that goes to payout, $1 to ace pot, and $1 to TxSDGC fundraiser. Everyone plays in one division all competing against each other with handicaps that are based on your PDGA rating and/or recent play on the area courses. (PDGA membership not required.) The Mini pays out the top 45% of players each week.

I've got the handicap formula pretty well tweaked now so that after the handicap is applied most players will have an adjusted score of ~40. That usually represents their average game. The winner usually shoots an adjusted score of 37-38. So in other words the winner usually shoots 2-3 strokes better than their average game that week.
