All,
I put together a map of Miramar showing the course with the 'alternate' tees: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...,0.004828&z=18 Let me know what you think. |

I like it. I was out there today and had a great time. Miramar is my favorite 9-hole course in the Houston area

Birdshot mini will have alternates for all 9 holes. They are all closer to the basket for what should be an easier shot. Key word is should. We will play the ditch water on 1,2,3 (if there is any at the time) as OB. Stay outta the ditch! The alternate for 5 has a mowed fairway for it. The other ones are not marked. I will talk to David Hyde about putting in stones for the alternates. Also will need to steel rake some of the alt boxes. Billy and I played out there this morning. 2,3,4 are a little easier now. Hurricane Ike hit this course harder than any other. Shame
. I too am looking forward to the mini on the 20th.

Where are the details for the mini? I'm considering making it my first tourney.

I didn't hear back from David Hyde so I went ahead and put in red stones (about the size of bricks) for 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 for alternate teeboxes. 6 and 9 were too hard to dig into. Will have a 5 gal water cooler for this hot one plus some bottled water and sodas in ice chest for 50 cents. See ya there!
