Talking Nice to see it being used again

I was out to Bear Branch this Saturday for the first time in a while. I'm always surprised at how many people are on that course by comparrison to other courses throughout town. Matter of fact, I'd venture to guess that it is the busiest course in town on the weekends.
However, yesterday it was awesome to see a good sized group of players from the south side. our group of 8 ran into their group of 6. It was nice to see some familiar faces from away out there. Thanks for comming out guys.

Bear Branch is my favorite course to play. It has a little bit of everything. I will agree it can get crowded sometimes.

I played BB for the first time on morning of 7/6 and the course was virtually empty. Having only played the course once I wasn't much impressed. What stuck in my mind was the general lack of differentiation between the intermediate and long tees. But I'll give it a second chance some day.

You should look at hole # 3. The advanced tee is at the top of the hill.

I did specifically note that I liked the long tee on #3 in the review of BB that I posted on DGCR.

yeah, there's a bush right at the end of the tee, at one time said bush was ACCIDENTLY fallen into after a drive removing it from action, but alas it grew back taller and stronger.

It is a bit strange that some of the holes like #3 and #4 have the advanced tee a good ways behind the regular tee, and other holes like #7 have them back to back. There is plenty of room at # 7 where they could have put it pretty far back.

is 7 when you go back into the woods along reasearch forest? I know the boxes are almost on top of each other and you could start in the open, but that is sort of in the fairway of the previous hole.

Frankly, I wish they would fix the tee boxes. They ruined 7's box with a bobcat, and 10 is an ankle turner at best. New trash cans are also needed as the bottoms of several have rusted out. It needs work.

I have not played there in a year or maybe even two. I believe that is when the entire cooler of refreshments was STOLEN. I like to to play the nine holer though.
