Pretty sure his answer isn't going to be......"yeah, but those guys aren't true disc golfers.. just miscreants.. chill out guys.."

Hopefully there is not a lack of communication with the head pastor.

Hopefully he is informed that the great majority of disc golfers have come to an understanding. That Windwood is not a place for drinking.

Consumption of alcohol will continue to always be a problem. Hopefully it will not be seen as a disc golf problem but a social problem as long as there is open communication with the Pastor and Church members that there is an on going effort in the disc golf community to eliminate this problem.

People normally complain when they don’t think something is being done about a problem. We have put a lot of effort as a dg community into that course. Maybe now we need to focus our energy as a dg community into informing the members of the church of the intentions and goals for the type of atmosphere that is wanted at Windwood.

I think we just have to endure the downsides that come with having such a great course on church property. Nobody wants to see the course pulled, but at the same time, we need to be realistic about what is going to happen on a disc golf course. To hope that others will show any more respect for a course since it is on church grounds is a stretch because we all know how many players are devout followers with strong morals

This is not to sound like a pessimist about the situation, but it seems like people are always posting on here preaching to the choir or threatening to pull the course. Let's continue to stay optimistic about the situation but approach it realistically. If this fails, maybe you guys could start to evangelize with the rule breakers on the tee box... that would definitely make them think twice about lighting up the ganj or cracking open their six pack-O-PBR
invite them to a Sunday service, might get some more respect for themselves and the church. Maybe this has all happened in a way that puts a church that close to a person having problems with what ever in there lives, and by chance if one of them may find the answers in the church. Once you hear the choir sing, life looks a little brighter.

last week was the first time I'd ever seen the ravine completely dry as well as the pond.. so the ground could use a good watering... Everything drains reall well now. Even after heavy rain, there is only water, where water is supposed to be now..

I'll bring you a towel so you don't have to use the little one on your bag to dry off...

Fixed the steps on 7 today and poured concrete T-Box #17... that's 20 of 21 t-boxes complete. Hole 14 really doesn't need a concrete box, but I'm sure as soon as the T-signs are installed we'll get that one finished anyway.
