Nor are they even accessible on the PDGA site once the event is deemed official.

Yep - I know that the Doubles format events (actually any X-tier) don't count toward ratings...they only count towards points for an Am Worlds invite, however most folks want to know "what would that round be rated if it were singles?" so I'm just attempting to generate something. Even getting the Doubles results posted on the PDGA is challenging, but where there is a will, there is a way.

I've written to the PDGA office and requested that they establish a project to upgrade the online entry system to handle these doubles events for both registration as well as results. We'll see how far they get with it...

But Ching they need to know, for the newer players, ratings don't matter at doubles events, have fun. So don't even bother with round ratings, they are never going to be close to right. Doubles are more for fun than anything, and Texas State AM doubles is one of the most fun events you will ever play, Been there done that, and always thanks to Randon. You be the man brother.

If you know the SSA for the configs from previous events out there and the conditions were typical then cooking up the approximate ratings is pretty straightforward. You don't even need to know the ratings of the players/teams going in.

Why would you fret about a doubles tourney? Play, have fun, win or lose you still had a great time. It is an AM tournament, so you don't have to worry about the cash, sponsorships and the like. It should just be one of the greatest times you have had, and probably was. Set a goal for next year and have just as much fun.

For some players, stats & ratings are part of the fun.
