Default Practice for After New Year's New Year's Bash at Alcorn Creek DGC

Howdy,
David Kindt, Jr. here again to inform you that there will be practice time availible at Alcorn Creek Disc Golf Course this Friday after 12:00 PM. Come out and play the holes to prepare for the After New Year's New Year's Bash tournament. We will be working on the course all day. Please be patient with us for we may not have all the baskets up until the next day. But most of the baskets should be up. Remember, no litteriing, no alcohol, no firearms and no controled sustances. Come out for some disc throwing fun!!!!!!!
If you are coming from Houston but can not make the practice rounds, I suggest you play two courses: McDade in Conroe and/or Spring Valley in Spring. Both of these courses offer a combination of what will be experienced at Alcorn Creek. Technical shots blended with high foliage, low canopies and baskets strategicaly placed throughout and above a creek bottom.
Hope to see you at the tournament.

is this course going to be in the ground for permanently? I can't make it this weekend due to conflicting scheduling with the Ice bowl. I would like to play the course if at all possible later this year.

We will be working on making a perminant course at this location in the future. Logistics and financial fesibilities are only allowing us limited access to the land. We will try to hold a practice day once a month except on months where there will be a tournament. This tournament will be a sort of test to see how smooth thngs flow.
My goal is to have another tournament at Alcorn Creek a week after the McDade tournament. Possibly a C or B tier. It will depend on whether or not we are able to sanction the event. I also am planning on adding two new holes for the next tournament. This would give us 22 holes. All par 3s with the added holes being just as visious but fair as some of the other tough holes at Alcorn Creek. The ultimate goal is to have a 24 hole Par 3 technical course. That way the Par will be 72 and we can hold at least 96 to 120 players on the course if needed. That would be a full tournament.
But for now, we just have to settle for what we can get. Patience and presistance will allow us to make this course perminant and will allow us to provide everyone with another course in the Brazos Valley and the Greater Houston Area to play.
I will let everyone know when the next practice session is.
