I want to thnk everyone who came out yesterday and worked their tails off...The Disc golf "community" is ALIVE and well!!! Such an awesome day yesterday seeing upwards of 30 people make it out at some point to help out... Great job by all.

Consider this.... The estimates Doug got for having them done averaged between 400-600 each. We spent about 750.00 and poured 6 beautiful boxes... for the same price of having about 1.5 boxes done by someone else... and they look great!!!!

BTW...Anyone know a dg'er by the name Kinto? I have his blue Star Xcaliber...
Also I wanted to personally thank him for taking it upon himself this morning to decide it was ok to step over the CAUTION tape and play the new T-boxes...oh and i almost forgot....scratch his initials in #5...

The boxes need a day or two to completely cure in dry sun before the caution tape is removed...which would be a good signal that it's ok to use them.

Kinto huh, well I guess we knew there had to be one idiot out there. Doesn't sound like a true dg'er to me just a fool. ( A fool that donated his disc.)
Unless he has the stones to ask for it back, then..... well I'll stop there.

I was just out there and i didn't notice any problems with the pads other than what looked like someone scratched a "K" in the dry concrete on the back of 5's teepad.

where did he write his name, scott?

If he didn't mess up a tee box, then I apologize for my previous statement, otherwise it stands. Footprints on a tee box would be unacceptable. IMO

On top of 6 new pads....We have a practice basket, which was donated, welded up with a sleeve, locked AND installed all by a very generous well known DG family..

The practice basket sits out on the left side of the field along side the #1 fairway...

Congratulations Windwood Gang for what sounds like a job well done! I plan to make it out to the mini this weekend to contribute some cash for the next batch!

Hey Scott,
Please, let me know when Kinto contacts you to get his disc back. I would like to help "RETURN" his disc to him and "THANK" him personally for his contribution to the hard work that was done on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!

It's no big deal, the pads are fine.... I just thought it was a real "jerk" move to walk up to the freshly poured boxes that were CAUTION taped off...FOR A REASON.... and take it upon yourself to step over the tape and play them anyway. UH HELLO....CAUTION TAPE...THERE'S A REASON!!!!!

KEEP OUT

What really upset me about the deal is the broomed grooves could have been easily ground smooth by playing them too soon... Oh and out of respect for the 30 people who built the boxes, some jerk who didn't... for some reason felt he should scratch his initials in there.

We'll run into this "kinto" character at some point, and hopefully he'll have his checkbook handy to make a nice donation to the course box fund and a few free Saturdays to come out and see how much work they really were to put in... Maybe he will understand then....but not holding my breath.

I'm just glad they're okay. It was a lot of work making those babies look perfect!
