Default Thomas Betrand Memorial - July 17th 2010

I travelled to Beaumont yesterday for Melissa's God-son's graduation and arrived early so I could play a quick round at Klein Park.

I was VERY impressed to see a large work crew out there installing forms for more concrete tee pads! Many thanks go out to the entire Golden Triangle crew for their dedicated efforts in preparing their course for the July tournament! Thanks to __D__G__ too for all of your organization efforts to make it all happen! You guys ROCK!!!

The course is in great shape! I got to play from most all of the concrete pads that were already built and played from behind the new forms on the remainder. I can't wait to play in this tourney!

I hope someone will be posting up the sign-up/registration information as soon as it becomes available. I want to make sure that I get signed up early for this one!

Since Ching started a thread (you beat me to it, Larry!) let's make it official...once again the Golden Triangle Disc Golf Club & Birdshot are teaming up for the Second Annual Thomas Bertrand Memorial at Klein Park in Beaumont on July 17, 2010. The usual details can soon be found on the Birdshot website (www.houstonbirdshot.com) and as soon as registration opens up we'll post something here. This will be the fifth event that Birdshot & Golden Triangle have collaborated on & we're always happy to get together with Dustin & his gang to put these on! Stay tuned for more details, but go ahead & mark those calendars!

I'm not sure exactly when Chris will add the registration link for this one, but you can always mail me a check, Larry....Pro Grandmaster would cost you $46.00....if you play Advanced GM it would be $30.00. Make checks payable to Birdshot & mail it to me at 2228 Mangrove Bend Dr., League City, Texas, 77573. Send a "generic" form (this could just be your letter) stating what tourney & what division & all of your player info...and go ahead & sign it like you would be doing on our regular form as a waiver (in case you hurt yourself again!). Hey, you could be our first player to sign up!

LoL!!! Ok Billy!

Here is a question though which may affect what division I register for: The new concrete tees at Klein have been installed at the short positions. Will the MPGs get to play from them on either round? (I'm just trying to make sure that I get to play from the new pads for at least one of the rounds...)

Hey guys...

Really looking forward to this years Klein Park tourney. 18 concrete tee's from the shorts will be great (even after the tourney, lol). The course is looking good and we will have 36 new tee signs, 12x12 full color print with distance, shape of the hole, tee number, next tee location, etc...

Oh, and I figured we'd play the longs in the morning and shorts in the afternoon like last year. Unless its wet, that will give a few hours of sun to dry out the long boxes which are still dirt (or clay).

Also, a little teaser, expect great food (not secured so I'll keep it a secret), Tourney stamped Champion Katanas and Tourney stamped Champion Mako's, and HOOTERS GIRLS!

Are the Hooter's Girls going to caddy for us or just towel the sweat from our brows?
