Default Looking for Recs for Home Practice Basket

Hey Guys -
I am shopping for a home practice basket and was looking for some recommendations.....

I am considering:
1) Innove Discatcher Sport -$200

2) Lightninig DB-5 Basket - $210

3) M-14 Target - $150

4) Instep Disc Goal -$70

Price really doesnt matter between these 4 baskets. I am just looking for the best practice basket. Any recommendations or suggestions would be great. Does anyone know if Rick's sells baskets?

Thanks Again!!

I'm pretty sure you can get the Discatcher Sport for $150 but at those prices I would go with the Instep and possibly invest in adding a few chains.

The M-14 is garbage and catches worse than the Instep but the Discatcher is the best bet if you can get one for $150.

Yup. That is the one right there. I've used all four you mentioned and the DB5 is the best in the bunch. Very few splash outs, feels like your hitting a solid course basket instead of a backyard temp. Plus the four thumb-wheel screw assembly means you can pack it in your car quickly and set it up quick.

The Innova basket is my second fave, but the DB5 is three times better than it. I got mine from Disc Golf Consultants up at the Spring Valley proshop (well, technically my kids bought it for me there). They had it drop shipped to my door which was nice too.

You can try most of these baskets out on the Erickson/Payne course.

Stay away from the instep basket. We use it to dry towels now.

Or you can play the back at Crosspoint........oh wait they are all ruined.

Actually I like the DB-5 myself it just is somewhat rough in the way it is made. The DB will be the best if you aren't going to keep it in the rain (shoudn't with any of these) I just didn't see that price didn't matter in the decision.

Plus, the DB5 was the model of Aston Martin that James Bond drove in Goldfinger.

the basket i used to have in my yard i had podwercoated for $75. not sure which one it was but i know its the same one used that tombass has. with the install of inner chains it was as good as i could expect. add the powder coating and i could leave it out in the weather for years. precission powder coating of houston can hook you up on that.

Thanks everyone! Based off of your suggestions I went with the Lightning DB-5 - got one for $199 from ebay with free shipping and two free discs. I will let you all know how it works out!! (Hopefully now I quit missing those easy putts)

Ive got 2 Instep baskets, both of which have been sitting in the rain and elements for the past 3 years. Both are still in very good condition. I prefer a practice basket that spits out a lot though. Because I makes me concentrate more on hitting the center. Id go with instep or M-14. I really really hate the DB-5's though. The only thing i hate about playing first colony's course is the baskets. I also like the disccathcers but, the design is soo much like the instep I wouldnt spend the extra money on it. Just my .02

So, has your DB5 arrived yet? What do you think?

Also, the local Academy stores have stocked back up on the Innova DISCatcher Traveler basket in stock for $99 again. It isn't the best basket but it is very portable and better than the SkillShot portable one IMHO.
