I used to live in Seabrook & watched them put in this course/park. It's where I first met Chuck & Gene Engel & Richard Rausch (sp.)...and since I could walk to it from my house, it made me start playing on a more regular basis. It is an odd design with the walking path, but they were built together & have always coexisted together...the joggers know we're there & vice versa. As far as I know, there has never been an issue out there...which seems hard to believe but I'm pretty sure that's the case. The neighbors that live/lived (post Ike) were always very nice about getting you your discs back if they went in the backyard too...if they were outside or saw one come over out their window, they would always come out & hand them back...we would say thank you, they would say no problem. Why can't everybody be civil like that? Anyway...that course does get played a lot & I'm sure we'll start up league again there in the spring. I totally agree with you Matt regarding that you would not want to use this as a good example of a course design...I was merely trying to point out that the players & the walkers & the neighbors have been getting along very well for about six years now.

Billy some people pay lots of money to live in an exclusive neighborhood and they want to keep it that way. I am not sure about the seabrook neighborhood demographics but it sounds more down home to me.

hole #4 at Miramar has a blind spot. You throw around a corner and can't see if anybody is coming down the path. Miramar was designed by a parks guy I believe. I guess designing a disc golf course is so much fun that it is hard for people to at least work with a professional to get advice on final layout. Does PDGA hand out certifications for disc golf course design?
